The filet mignon was delicious. The service was pleasant and professional. The lichee mojito was amazing. I would definitely come back.

My filet mignon was cooked to perfect temperature for myself, (medium well), the sides were savory, grilled asparagus and mashed potatoes; dessert for me was key lime pie which is one of the best I've had in a long while. We ate off the Miami Spice Menu but the two men in our group upgraded their proteins and were so pleased with their T-Bone and seafood. I'm allergic, but am told their bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers and lobster bisque were life-changing, so there you go! Our hostesses and waiters were polite, the experience was great; We'll definitely be back.

Came here last night and enjoyed it. We pulled into valet and the attendant tells us he is full. While trying to find parking all around, we see him taking in other cars. That part irritated me because you don't tell me know but give in other cars. Damn I can tip you too. At least it I felt like that. If anything, he could've explained he was saving other spots. Okay I am not going to let this valet guy ruin my review. Needless to say we found a decent spot to park. Anyways, it was pretty packed. I assume we were in around happy hour but luckily we had reservations. The hostess (Crystal) was so sweet. She also was so nice on the phone. I like the nice dark wood, classy and sophisticated look. We were seated between the bar and some other tables near the window. You would've thought we would be cramped but not at all. We ordered the truffle fries appetizer (thank you fellow Yelpers). O-M-G they were so good. My son and husband loved it and they are iffy on trying new things. We didn't even finish it there were so much. But oh so good. My husband had the NY strip 14oz steak and I took a bite and it was good. You can def taste the meat as to too much seasonings. He loved it. They didn't have my order on the menu but I inquired about since I previewed the menu online. I had a crab crake entrée with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. The crab cakes were small and I thought it was a rip off. Boy was I wrong. I couldn't finish it. Fresh crab and more crab then a breaded type crab cake. This one was not. Had an outside crush but nothing in this was crab cake screamed oil overload. Everything was made perfect. My son had a Shula burger and he couldn't finish it, was so huge and it was from the kids menu. I did a yelp check in and you get a free house wine. Since I ordered my merlot, I didn't want another glass (never thought I say those words). I was too full. I will def go to Shula's 347 again. I loved the service, the food, the area, and ambiance of the place. Maybe next time for happy hour.

Great location, great ambience, awesome bar and great steaks. The General Manager Patricia is simply wonderful genuinely cares about her restaurant, customers and in my opinion strives for nothing short of excellence. We love this place and it's now our new place for dinner and drinks. By the way their filet mignon is phenomenal! Needless to say we will be there next Saturday night. You owe it to yourself to check this place and I assure you you'll love their steaks.

Decided to check this place out on New Years Eve. We ordered from the traditional menu. Steak tips for an appetizer. Shula burgers with crab mac & cheese as an entree. The margaritas and martinis are very tasty but with a price to go along with them. Friendly wait staff. Decent food quality but overpriced overall for what you get. It is a fancier restaurant though and valet is your best bet for $5.

Went to dinner here. Loved the modern steak house decor (dark wood, leather seats and classis clean lines). They offered Miami Spice menu for $39 a 3 course meal. My friends enjoyed that since it was the best deal. I opt for the herb chicken. Which was cooked to perfection! Very juicy and tender. I asked for the grilled asparagus instead of the smashed potatoes for an extra $1. Although the server brought my plate minus the asparagus, the waiter brought it out waving the extra fee. The asparagus were fantastic. My friends had the filet medallions which they said was amazing. My sister had the lobster bisque which was great but could of been served hotter than it came. Everyone raved about the key lime pie. Definitely a place to check out. And service was great!

The food was disappointing. The Chicken Milanesa was overlooked and salty. It came with an overdressed mushy sad on top. My husbands dinner salad was also over dressed and with a mushy texture. He did not enjoy the salad dressing. It was very very overpriced and I doubt we go back. The server was attentive and friendly.

three of us sat by the bar and had a great time. the bartenders were great, very quick and attentive. I've been to many places in Miami and usually the services aren't that good, even at the bar but these girls were great. we all had different burgers and a few apps. they were all good. the desserts were even better. we had brownie sundae and this almond crusted thing w ice cream and fresh fruit. delicious!! one of the best desserts I've ever had!

Exceptional food. Amazing service from Bryan. Crab cakes were savory and scrumptious. Seared tuna was fresh and flavorful. I'll be back for sure.

I'm not sure why this place has such a good rating! Every time I've come here at least one dish has been just inedible. I ordered a tuna tataki salad once and the fish was just SO fishy it tasted like it had been made a week before and just stuck in the fridge. Another time I ordered a cooked fish dish which had absolutely no flavor and a Mac and cheese to share which was so salty that I couldn't eat it. Luckily they were kind enough to take them off the bill, but I've stopped bringing people here because I just have bad luck and order the worst things off the menu! My friends that have ordered burgers and steaks said it was delicious but I did not have the same experience. The restaurant itself is nice, with some tvs by the bar. The staff is friendly.

We had a very different experience than the other times we have had dinner there. First of all we were given the lunch menu at 7:00 for the Miami Spice which did not offer the meat selection. Three of us ordered off the regular menu and the waiter hurried us through telling us what the sides were without telling us that several he suggested were not included in the meal but were extra -literally to hike up the bill!!!! My husband does a lot of dinner programs there for the company he works for and we never expected you ran your business this way. In the future we will look for other establishments that do not have this policy.

So I have a couple of gripes about this place, and it wasn't on the food. Here's what happen... We made reservations for 8pm for a table for 4. My husband and I were waiting for our friends to arrive, so when we checked in, we decide to wait until they got here before being seated. They notified us that they were running late, so we decided to get our table and start with drinks. So the hostess walked us over to the table, and we were seated. One of our friend's we were meeting, had thrown out his back the day before, so he asked if we would get a booth rather than regular seating. He happen to send us this text as we were about to sit, so therefore, we had to track the hostess down and ask her to switch to a booth. It took a couple of minutes, but we got up from our seats and were escorted to the other side of the restaurant where the booths were located. No problem. So we sat down and started looking over the menu, when all of a sudden the waiter comes up to us and ask if we would mind switching table with the people next to us bc the one we were at, was for 6 people, and we only had 4 in our party. No problem. So before our friends even arrived, we had bounced around seat to seat. But that was ok because we were part of the problem anyway. So finally our friends arrive and we sit down. We start talking and reading over the menu when one of our friend say "is it me or is it hot in here?" At that moment I was ok, but as the night went on, it started to get really uncomfortably warm in the restaurant. So we asked the waiter if there was a problem, and he admitted that they had a problem with the A/C on "this" side (which was our side) of the restaurant. As he is telling us this, he is sweating profusely. I was like oh boy, we haven't even had our appetizers yet! So I start to notice my friend with the back problem, get really uncomfortable because of the heat, so I asked the waiter again "so are they fixing the a/c, or is this the way its going to be for the rest of the night" and pretty much he made it seem like this is how its going to remain for the night. and that the A/C was only the "other side" of the restaurant. Our friends felt bad because we were originally on that side, but moved bc of his back problem. He said he would move us, but quite honestly, we moved around so much, we kind of didn't want to deal with it, so we toughed it out, and struggled with the heat for the rest of the night. Besides all that, the food was amazing. We started with a few appetizers for the table: Crispy Raviloli and Seafood Trio. all very good, especially the Crab Cake. I ordered from the Miami Spice menu: Grilled Salmon with mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. Very flavorful and tasty. Mashed potatoes were on point. My husband order the Skirt Steak Chimichurri. WOW. that was REALLY good. cooked just right, with the right amount of seasoning. Amazing! Then for dessert Dulce de Leche Cheesecake. Decadent and perfect for sharing. After we had dessert, the waiter felt bad, and offered us a free Key Lime pie for all the trouble, which was a nice thing to do. But by then we were full, and sweating. Perhaps comping a portion of bill would have been nice. So all in all, the food was amazing, but the atmosphere was a bit unbearable at times. I wish they would have alerted the guests prior to seating that the A/C was an issue, rather than just hiding it until someone raise their hand about it. Might question myself before I decide to come back again.

After dining at many Miami restaurants since our visit to Shula's 347 Grill in South Miami I have come to appreciate the experience we had here a couple months ago more and more. The pacing of our meal was excellent. The server was sweet, seemed genuine, and was very good overall. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer ($15) and sweet sauce kept our hunger at bay while we anticipated a rich, filling meal. Even the complimentary bread was tasty. The Yelp Check In Offer at the time was awesome! A complimentary glass of wine, woot! When I hesitantly showed the offer on my phone to the server she didn't even bat an eye. She smiled warmly and simply asked if I wanted red or white wine. Unfortunately, we had to have her correct the bill at the end because we were charged for the glass of wine, but she apologized and everything was good. The two of us shared the crab mac n cheese ($13), filet ($46), and dessert ($10) and were super full. Their take on filet (steak in general) was truly unique. The menu said something about a super secret aging process that makes the meat incredibly tender. They were right. I probably could have eaten the filet with just a fork, no knife. It was delicious but I usually like my steaks tender but not that soft. The dessert was the surprise hit of the night. I forget what the crispy shell was made of that came with the ice cream and fruit. It was a great way to end the meal and I would order it again the future...when I can save up some more money. Random, I thought I signed up for their email list but I haven't seen anything from them.

Love love love this place! Everytime we come we are never disappointed. Drinks, appetizers and food are a spot on! And it's really not extremely expensive which is what I like. You're not breaking the bank to get a good meal! There is a waiter that we always ask for when we come because he really does go above and beyond for us, super attentive and always making sure we are satisfied. I will continue coming here again and again.

Shula's 347 offers the same steak cuts as the other Shula's Steakhouse. The Establishment is just more sports bar oriented. The food is great and this is a great place to spend some time catching up with an old friend. It's a quiet bar and good variety of yummy things on the menu. I have been here twice and will still go back for a Fillet Mignon sandwich on a french baguette and truffle fries.

Had another awful experience here after several attempts at giving the restaurant another chance. When my food has a worm in it and the manager doesn't come to apologize then I feel the need to write this story and never go back to this crappy establishment. Service sucks, management sucks and now the food really sucks. Stay away.

Shulas 347 is in an awesome location right across the street from the nearly extinct Barnes and Noble. The place is clean and dark, with an immaculate bar, nice hardwood floors and diverse clientele. I had the Harvest Martini ( vodka, Hennessy, lime, and ginger ale) which was perfectly balanced and strong. After flipping through the menu for a while I chose the blackened sirloin tips with bernaise. They were perfection. Jess was my bartender and she was really fast, nice, and professional.

Second time I dined here and just as wonderful. To me it is one of the best restaurants in South Miami. For sure finer dining, the inside is dark woods, classy, and not pretentious at all. Our server last night was super. My favorite part of this restaurant is the huge bar and it is positioned perfectly in the the middle of the dining area. Last night I was mesmerized looking at how large the bar is with many bar stools. They offer a great cocktail selection and on Monday's half price off certain bottles of wine. They bring you over an ipad and any bottle with a gold star is half off on Monday. We chose two bottles of Ferrari Carrano Siena, it's a great bottle and paired wonderfully with all of our different dishes. And not to sound like a wine snob, hee hee but they serve the wine in very nice stemware which is a huge plus for me. No lip, thin crystal and proper size. We started with the truffle fries. I know truffle oil has been overdone for sure, but trust me these fries are amazing. A must try. They are thin, crispy, not overdone with the truffle and parmesan cheese shreds on top. Simply divine. Last night I ordered the same dish that I had the first time I came here because it was so good. I got the Herb Chicken which comes with two grilled chicken breast, sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes. Daughter got the grilled shrimp and hubby ordered the seared Ahi Tuna salad and crab macaroni & cheese. My chicken dish was so perfect. Grilled, moist with a smokiness to it that just adds so much flavor. I am not sure what they do to their chicken but it is super moist. The spinach and potatoes were also fantastic. All of our food was wonderful, service is outstanding and worth the price. My only reason for not giving five stars because it was close is they have booths where we sat both times and they are so uncomortable. You sink into them and it makes your rear end hurt. They look nice but need more padding. Great restaurant and can be a romantic place as well.

Food is great! Bartenders knowledgable and eager to suggest menu items and drinks. Love the atmosphere, also. Great for families, business meetings, couples, and parties. Sarina is an awesome bartender and there's no end to the fun when she is behind the bar. Love her.

Let me start this review by saying that I don't give five stars often. The service (thank you Calla) was impeccable. My ribeye was perfectly black and blue. The calamari fries were delicious. And most importantly, my very dry martini was excellent. Hands down the best meal I've had in a while. I highly recommend.

This place is always on point! The Thai chicken salad is one of my favorites! It has so many pieces of thinly sliced green peppers, yellow peppers, carrot, deep cilantro taste I mean veggies galore! Prickly pear margarita is also amazing! The service is great and so is the ambiance! I always go back!

Once upon a time a couple had visited the manor of Shula on many a time. A manor of distinguished service and many of the spoils life has to offer at the whim of your call. One day as the couple had the greatest of intentions to enjoy a romantic evening at one of their most treasured places to feast, they soon Discover that many things had changed. For as it would now be, greeted at the door by a smile then ushered to the location of most convenience rather than most pleasure. Perhaps,You would enjoy a dinner Whilst yelling at your wife and eating. Query ensued. Well of course, we simply must save the open tables that may afford less noise than a 100 drunks chanting in a small bar for others that may or may Not arrive. Surely you won't mind sitting next to our most cherished soccer hooligans?! As you must insist on not yelling at your wife all eve, please sit down just a couple of tables removed from 100 chanting drunks,- regardless of half dozen empty tables further removed- please, sit on these seats adorned with chewed bites on two of the glorious four chairs - after all you are both here to eat? Well as the evening would have it bites and laughter concerned, our palates would not complain. As luck would have it,dashed away were our intentions to return to this manor once and again, as we would be fine in not returning to a place ran this way. For many options exist in the kingdom of Miami. One star for the service and one for the food. Take care of your visitors with a staff that cares.

Came here with two groups in the past few months. The service is excruciating slow, as it took over an hour to get our food. The servers are friendly and the food is good, but I don't feel the price matches the value. Just because it's in South Miami doesn't mean they have the right to charge a premium for a B- product. If you want hip and trendy, it's OK. If you want a better value and better service, try somewhere else.

Great place when you want something between casual and fancy. Solid food (Excellent burger!) decent wine list, great ambiance and attentive staff. A great go-to place which is consistently good.

I had the crab crusted snapper with lobster smashed potatoes. It was tasty, but I regret not going with a steak. The service was good, but had a few rough edges like the waiter forgetting to bring waters for people that didn't order drinks and the barber tender messed up on the cocktails. Overall it was a good experience, I'd go back.

Shula's service remains fairly pitiful. It seems like they have multiple managers walking around checking in on customers. Instead, they should simply doing thing right and hire a good wait staff. The food is fine. You can't really mess up steak, burgers, and fries.

Stopped by for lunch, decided to try out their Miami Spice Menu. Loved it! The service was okay. We arrived before the lunch hour rush & yet it took over 1 hour to get our dessert & bill. Be prepared to valet park your car, there is a parking lot behind that's metered parking, but it's quite limited.

First of all, I must say I love the ambience in this restaurant. It has low lighting, beautiful wooden tables, and if you have a big party you can sit near the back of the restaurant in a private area. Service was decent. If you go, have their Shula burger or the filet mignon. For dessert, I love the dulce de leche cheesecake. Happy Eating! :)

I wish i had good things to say but the dissapoinment is tol much. We bad slider for the kids and mac and cheese, the sliders bread was too big and hard not soft for kids plus had no flavor I domt think they season beef. The mac and cheese is used with a past that just doesnt go and had little flavor. I order the steak salad and provided a picture for your review. It was plain and only had lettuce and very very little noodles, bland steak and tiny tiny tiny pieces of mango. The salad had a very little asian flavor needed to order extra dressing to give it a little flavor. Too plain of a salad, gosh drive yourselves to Hillstones so that you can enjoy a dam good thai salad I promise you will be soo thankful you did. My husband had a fish wrap that had a cole slaw that was plain w no flavor and he said the fish was not seasoned. Hope they can improve.

If Don Shula had coached the Dolphins the way food is prepared at his restaurant the Miami Dolphins would have been a dynasty like the Pats! I met up with a friend for wine and appetite tasting tonight and have to be colored impressed. We started with a glass of cool, crisp Chardonnay generously served. Our culinary evening continued with 4 different appetizers and a dessert. My favorites were the spicy meatballs with marinara and the spicy chicken strips. Both plates had about 4 generously sized servings and each had the spiciness advertised in its own blend. The chicken pieces were served on a what tasted like mixed greens and had a better sweet glaze than the last upscale sports bar I attended. In addition to sweet said poultry had a spicy kick. Likewise the meatballs, though the seasonings were more savory. The marinara had real tomato pieces and were served with baguette pieces. Dessert was a deliciously creamy key lime pie where the tartness and sweetness were evenly blended. Decor consists of wood paneling, dim lighting and uptempo loungey house. The music was not loud to the point of allowing me to hear my friend while checking out the Heat game on one of the panel TV above the bar.

We went for our Father's Day celebration. Had to take an early reservation as they said they had nothing after 5 pm. We were there until about 5:45 and there were still plenty of empty tables. That was annoying - don't like eating that early. However... The food was good and service was very good. We had 2 little ones so it can get a bit testy. Food came quickly and well made. I had the Shrimp over capellini pasta. It needed a bit more seasoning but otherwise well-prepared. My daughter had a turkey burger which she liked a lot and the Dad of the Day had an 8 oz. filet mignon. Also very good. Atmosphere is nice and I don't know why we don't have our girls night there. I'll suggest I next time. Nice job Shula's 347!

My S/O and I found this place by default... we end up walking super casual - the manager asked us if we had a reservation - almost making it seem like we needed one - but after I stated No, do we need one.. he sat us right away. We actually were caught off guard by the ambiances - a lot more upscale environment - including the prices.. But our server Bryan was excellent!!!! He explained the menu really well and made us feel extremely welcomed. I end up getting the French Onion burger and my s/o got the herb chicken. We both went for a ETOH-Free night and ordered lemonade. What I loved was the attention to detail the place provided - constantly filling our waters - and constantly filing our lemonade (FREE). Also, if you check in here, you get the crab mac and cheese for free - which was super yummy!!! I had a great time - especially our server paying attention to the small details - we left the place making sure we let the manager know how great he was!!! I love default!

The food is pretty decent, but not great. I thinks it is highly priced for what you get. The drinks are good but again, expensive. I do like the bar set up and the decor is very nice. Dont feel that the service is personal, just that they want you to spend your money and move on.

I've been trying to resist meat for a few months now. Not altogether dismiss it from my diet, but you know, just cut the farm animals a little slack. Then last night it hit me. I wanted meat, and I wanted it in epic portions, and I was ready to stab anyone who deterred me from my mission. Thankfully, my mom was on my side and when I offered Shula's 347 Grill as the dinner destination, she happily (excitedly) obliged. There was a casual bustle to the restaurant when we arrived. The servers were busily buzzing around and despite waiting on other tables, nearly every one made a point to greet us. Greeting was great and all, but really, I wanted my food. The killer look I gave Tomas might have suggested the fact and he arrived to water our glasses and take our drink order pronto. A bottle of Row Eleven Pinot Noir later (which would end up being 2 bottles) became a perfect choice for the meal I was about to smack my chops at. Before you start wavering between the Thai Steak Salad or the NY Strip or the shrimp over mac and cheese (which are all very very delightful, I'm sure), JUST ORDER THE PORK CHOP. ORDER THE PORK CHOP. You'll want to order beef. You're at a casual steakhouse after all. But don't be deterred. Order the pork chop and like me, you'll be writing a 5 star review once you rise from your state of perfectly satisfied elation. Like the fried chicken at Tudor House, I'm adding the pork chop (admittedly something I NEVER order) to my list of the most crave-worthy items in all the land. Resting over a bed of smashed potatoes (with the perfect creamy, garlicky balance) and served alongside a handful of sauteed green beans, this dish was absolutely perfect. So again, order the pork chop. Or the burger too (the bite I stole was excellent).

Ate here on a weekend night at 8pm, made reservations but I don't think they were necessary. Our party had herb chicken, it was delicious, Shula burger with sweet potato fries, burger was good, fries amazingly good. Pork chop and chicken Milanese, the chop was good, chicken Milanese had a good flavor but had too much balsamic sauce drizzled over it. We had regular coffee and almond basket w Haagen Daas, for dessert. The coffee was some of the best I've ever had and the dessert was perfect! The reason for 4 stars is because our server was not as attentive as he should have been, had to flag him down for coffee and dessert.

The 347 in the name stands for the amount of wins that Don Shula achieved in his legendary career. With this restaurant, Shula gets win number 348. The restaurant itself is beautiful, they definitely did a great job with the interior. At Shula's 347 you still get the same great steaks as at Shula's Steakhouse, but at a lower price point (and smaller portions). They also have a good selection of menu items that are very reasonable in price such as burgers and salads. It's a great place to for a great dinner and not break the bank. I had the New York Strip with sides of fries and Crab Mac & Cheese. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was nice and and pink. The Crab Mac & Cheese was absolutely out of this world, some of the best I have had. The fries are also very good. My wife had a special which was a Bronzini with risotto. The fish was delicious and the risotto was a perfect creamy texture. Pretty impressive dish for a "steakhouse". As a bonus, after checking in on Yelp! an offer for a free glass of Cabernet popped up on our phones...SCORE!!! Shula's 347 is a winner in my book!

We visited this restaurant for dinner in late 2013. Everything was awful....the food and the staff. Bread is not brought to the table unless the customer requests it; nowhere on the menu do they inform the customer of this policy. My steak was charred beyond recognition. Stay away from this place! If I could award it 0 stars, I would.

How do you get a man to eat a salad? Put steak on it. We came early for an ELITE event to have a light dinner beforehand. The Thai steak was a winner. (They do good steak anything, really.) The lobster bisque was great... but needed more chunks of lobster meat. The spinach artichoke dip, WITH the crab meat (gotta ask for it) was really good! Nice feel, friendly service, reasonable prices for very good food. A definite do-over.

Really cool secret dining room behind the kitchen. Felt like a mobster in Goodfellas. Cowboy steak was excellent - couldn't finish it. Waiters were super attendant. Had a new drink each time before I finished the old one (it was a corp thing and I wasn't paying or driving).

Dear Shula's, My fiance and I have been here a few times and really enjoy the experience, which is always amazing and keeps us coming back. How can we go wrong with great service and tasty food at a decent price?! The ambiance is beautiful and classy. The lights are dim and the music is always just right, making this a definite date spot. The service is great; the bartenders really know how to mix a mean drink and the servers are well versed in the menu, prompt, and attentive. The food is very good! For starters, I enjoy the tenderloin tips with the truffle fries (separate dishes). The tips are served blackened and are very tender. The truffle fries are very addicting, as there's no way to just eat a few; I go a little primal and tend not to let anyone else near the fries... Eek! The lobster ravioli from the Features menu are amazing! Nice pieces of lobster inside with a tasty, creamy sauce with spinach and tomatoes. I have to say, I always have a great experience when I come here. You never let me down Shula's!!! Consistent, reliable, delicious. Love! Steaks, and lobster, and lamb chops, OH MY! All my best, SabrinaAnna*

So we went for dinner to give this place a second chance - I had been there earlier this week for a Yelp Elite event and was still dreaming of the bacon wrapped shrimp smothered in BBQ sauce stuffed w/ basil. Yum. We made a reservation for 9:15 and when we show up it was nowhere to be found - luckily they were extremely accomodating and sat us right away. The manager cleaned a table and sat us right away - score! We ordered the dreamy shrimp, crab cakes, the wedge, and the herb chicken. All were awesome. I found the portion for the shrimp to be a little stingy (4 pieces) and the crab cakes shouldn't really be called "jumbo" b/c they weren't jumbo @ all. They were yummy, which is what really matters in the end. Unfortunately, we had the same goofy server from last time. The kid was nice, but a total space cadet. We had to ask for refills and such, which I find really annoying, especially @ a place like Shula's. The crowd was nice - mostly couples and nice groups of people out for a drink and a bite. They were playing the game on TV and were also playing really good music. Overall I am glad I gave this place a second chance b/c the food was delicious, the service was good, and the ambiance was nice.

Shula's 347 Grill - Coral Gables location This is a great place for an excellent/above average steak. In Miami there is a lot of competition within the steakhouse arena, and I've been to them all. So, I'll articulate for your benefit. Food: The steaks are second to none, the best. Obvious effort in the aging process is apparently part of the model for this company. Which also explains the competitive high pricing. The steaks compare with sister company Shula's Steakhouse(Miami Lakes)...so they are sharing recipes which is great. Unfortunately, they aren't so good in the fish department. And, they aren't so good in the bread department at this location. The bread at Miami Lakes is really really good. So, who goes to a steakhouse for fish anyway??? Don't ask...it's a long story. Sorry, the tough fish and average bread cost half a star. Libations: Unfortunately, they couldn't prepare a Pina Colada. (that would be for my guest ordering fish!). Other than that, it's a really nice full bar with expected high prices. Service: Good. The waiting service was good not great. They definitely work hard, but seem to be subpar. At high-end restaurants you expect proficiency and excellence. After all, the gratuity pay is substantially higher. This cost them half a star from my review. If I'm obligated to pay a higher gratuity, I expect higher service. I've gotten similar service at lower level restaurants. Sorry, that's my opinion. Venue: The location is conveniently located on a corner street sitting directly on Red Road which is across the street from Sunset Place Mall. You may either valet or street meter park....either way will cost you. The inside of the restaurant's decor is relaxing, clean, and modern. The seating is somewhat comfortable and somewhat private. There is dining room seating and bar seating only. I do not think this restaurant offers outside and/or smoking anywhere. Some senior locals may remember this as the old Marshall Majors location....but completely gutted and remodeled. It's a beautiful restaurant. Desserts: Sorry, we did not get any desserts. So I will not comment. Summary: I very highly recommend this restaurant for an excellent dining experience. The few negative issues in my review are easily correctable and/or avoidable. This is a high-end restaurant with competitive prices. If you have a special occasion this is the place to go. If I had the bucks I'd go frequently. At this time, they have the best steaks in Miami !!! Disclaimer: I am not affiliated with the owner/manager and/or staff in any way. I am not affiliated with any restaurant in any way.

Nice atmosphere, very good service. We ate light, so can't attest to the quality of the steaks, but our salads were very nice.

This is the second time I come here to eat and the place is nice and elegant. The service is superb and the food is of great caliber. My husband had the sirloin tips with the baked potato and I the 16oz cowboy steak with the sauted spinach and the asparagus and we ordered a side of sweet potato fries which were amazing. Both steaks were soft and juicy but mine lacked a little flavor and to end the night we a pumpkin cheesecake with was delish. They have an amazing bar area with high top tables that gets good on fridays for happy hour.

Suffice it to say I'm pretty skeptical at the quality of food at any restaurant named after any major sports player, coach, or celebrity. In my experience, usually you find a glorified excuse to pay tribute to your own fabulousness while skimping on actual decent food and drink. Luckily someone convinced me to give Shula's a try and I was pleasantly surprised! Ok yes, the winningest coach does still have a few pictures of himself adorning the walls, but the decor is sleek and modern and feels more like an upscale restaurant with a few large screen tvs thrown in to catch the game than your typical sports bar vibe. The menu options aren't necessarily the most out there/unique, but what they do have is well planned and wonderfully executed. Started with a cucumber martini which was the perfect light drink to accompany the meal. Refreshing and not too sweet! Next, my dining partner and I shared the crab cakes and the jumbo shrimp. Both were utterly scrumptious, filled with fresh meat and perfectly prepared. The crab cakes weren't exactly "jumbo," but they had far more meat than breading, which I deem the criteria for a well made crab cake (If you have enough good meat why ruin the flavor with far too much filler). The shrimp were colossal, with some herb stuffed in the center, then wrapped in bacon and smothered in BBQ sauce. Smoky, sweet and so good! Finally, for the entree I went with the grilled shrimp with pasta gemelli mac and cheese. The shrimp on this dish too were fresh and well-grilled, and the pasta was drenched in a garlicky cream sauce and then crusted with bread crumbs for added texture. Again, not the most crazy inventive concept, but it was delicious and I ended up having more than enough for my dinner and for lunch the next day! The desserts didn't really sound exciting enough to tempt me, but as I learned from the other dishes, Shula's can made even the most banal dish pretty well. I'm all for creative flair, but sometimes it is nice just to have a basic dish done well, and I feel like you can get that at Shula's! Fantastic service and a wonderful atmosphere pretty much rounded out an already great dining experience. Nice place to grab a drink with friends, catch the game or just go for a relaxing meal!

This place is amazing! Great service and food is great! I'm visiting from Gainesville so came with my mom. She loved the lobster bisque, the sweet chili calamari is so tasty and the steaks were perfection! Lastly had a dulce de Leche cheesecake and it was "to die for"! Highly recommended. Definitely come back when I visit Miami again

I eat here at least once a week. Not only because it's next to my office, but because the food and service is always consistently terrific. My favorites on the menu are the Shrimp Pasta entree, the steak bites, crab mac and cheese, and the empanadas. The salads are all also very good, and their Lobster bisque soup was great the one time I've ordered it. The bar and wait staff are always very pleasant and accommodate their consistent neighbors quite well I must say. I'll continue going to Shula's weekly.

Came here for a dinner meeting. We sat in the back (meeting room). The menu included a house salad, and entree options of: 12 oz flat iron chimichuri,14 Oz NY Strip, salmon , chicken, or pasta. I chose the NY strip medium well. It was prepared exactly as requested. My friend ordered the chimicuri which had the sauce come separately. She enjoyed it as well. The sides were cheesy mashed potatoes (delicious) and mixed vegetables. Dessert was one choice: New York Cheesecake. It was very good. Might come back for a regular dinner to try some of the other dishes.

My friends called this morning and wanted to go to Joe's, but I had just been there so we settled on Shula's in South Miami There New digs had some pretty memorable moments for me. Thirty years ago it used to be delicatessen. Paul Newman took me to lunch there after Sally Field flamed out on me on the set of Absence of Malice. Thank Ms. Flying Nun! The owner of the delicatessen took a picture of us, and displayed it proudly at the restaurant. When it closed I went there to retrieve the picture and the jerk wouldn't give it up. Oh well one of many downers here. The place lay dormant for years and then it opened as a hip type singles bar, but not for long. Businesses came and went but I remember Paul and I had a Ruben Sandwich and he had the Smoked Sturgeon Platter. My best all male dates ever. Jakes was around for a while, but I wasn't a fan. Now it's a Shula's, I've been the one in Miami Lakes and I liked because it started out Golf, Scotch, and then Steaks, but then someone else had paid. Now I think it was my turn up at bat. Dana our server, couldn't have been any better. Shula's 347 is a quasi steak house, but without the steak house feel. It has three main steaks, the obligatory Filet Mignon, New York Strip and bone in Rib Eye, then a chimmichuri flat iron steak. The menu is very good, and our order consisted of Seafood Trio at $34.00, good but too expensive. Cowboy Steal (Rib Eye), Filet Mignon, and the Crab Mac and Cheese. With the steaks there was no special sauces, ie, blue cheese, truffle butter, Hunter, ect. ect. ect. but all were very good, the rib eye was the best. The dark horse was the Crab Mac and Cheese, which was a first place winner, I could have eaten that with a shovel All in all Shula's in South Miami, is a winner, it loud, quirky and cool!

Shula's is good, not great. I like my steaks cooked black and blue which is rare on the inside and charred on the outside. Only really good steakhouses cook it correctly that way. Shula 347 does not cook their steaks well black and blue. It was basically a typical rare steak. The steak was good, the appetizers are good. The key like pie was average.

We ate here for dinner on 5/22/2011. I'll limit the review to only the service and food my wife & I had and not the other couples we where with. We shared a lobster bisque as a starter and found it excellent but slightly salty. The consistence and level of whipping was well done. If this was made in house it's very well done. I suspect it is not though. We both went with burgers, a Shula burger w/ bacon for me. I'd love to say it was awesome, or even at par with other gourmet burgers. After all, shouldn't a steak house know meat? But alas, it was well below what I would expect from a place that claims meat expertise. The side's though. The side's where what made the meal. The fres where done well with natural sea salt and you could tell they where hand cut. My wife's turkey burger was much better, so perhaps they just ordered some crappy ground chuck from Sysco the week I went. Our company for the evening claimed their steaks cuts and salads where amazing, so we will be giving it another chance. The lesson we learned? Don't bother going if you aren't going to purchase one of the premium foods (steaks) they sell. It's obvious the "other" parts of the menu are an after thought. We look forward to giving them another try though....

This place is fantastic! I went with a family member and found that the filet mignon was on par with the quality of Ruth's Chris. The New York strip was equally delicious. The mashed potatoes were delicious and the slight bit of cheese on top of them made them that much better. I used the Yelp check-in offer and received a free side of crab mac and cheese and although I am not a huge fan of Mac and cheese in general, I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. We ended our meal with two scrumptious desserts (the menu was found on an iPad at our table). I enjoyed a slice of chocolate cake (which was not on the regular dessert menu) and my dad enjoyed a fruit and ice cream dessert. Overall, this place was fantastic and surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend Shula's and will be returning soon.

Whether it is because this is not THE Shula's Steakhouse, or the Grill has simply degraded, don't waste your time unless you're looking for an older "bar scene". The wedge had old wilted iceberg lettuce, the burgers are now much smaller, which is a plus, since they are not juicy and delicious. Drink, if you must, but go somewhere else to dine.

I went back to test out a burger and was still happy with the food experience. My waiter wasn't great - forgot things we asked for and was a little inattentive - but was very good for the table next to us with a large party ::eye roll:: Still keep my rating at a 4 star and will continue to go for lunch and dinner.

On Saturday night me and the hubby wanted to go out to eat and he felt like trying something new. I thought of Shula's since I've driven by so many times and have always wanted to try one of their restaurants, so off we went. We found metered parking just up the street in a lot, they also offer valet right out front. We didn't have a reservation so there was a 15 minute wait. We hit up the bar for a cocktail and found a gorgeous, huge bar space with friendly servers and a nice looking cocktail menu. I was in the mood for an espresso martini and although it wasn't on the menu they whipped one up with no problem. Julio went for a flavored mojito and thought it was good, drinks are a little steep at $14 a pop, that's the same price I paid for a cocktail at the Fontainebleau on Sobe so be prepared for that. We were seated shortly after in a back room, I found the place to be cozy yet still upscale although there are TV's all over the place, of course they have to show the football games! As we sat down I checked in on Yelp and was surprised to get a check in offer of a free glass of wine. The manager came over and asked what I liked, he selected a delicious Pinot Noir for me that I enjoyed with my meal. We ordered the crab cakes to start, they were really good with lots of big chunks of fresh crab meat. I ordered the Filet with asparagus and upgraded to crab mac and cheese. Julio had the NY Strip with a baked potato and seasonal veggies. Everything was great with one major exception - the steak was overcooked from the Medium Rare we both ordered close to Med Well for both of the steaks. Our friendly server asked how the steaks were cooked so we told him they were overdone and the manager was back in a flash offering to redo them for us. I didn't mind too much and didn't want to see them go to waste so we declined. The steaks were great, just would have been better cooked as we ordered. I think I may order rare next time just to be sure. The portions were big and there was no room for dessert, and we did leave happy despite any kinks in the meal. The service was great on all accounts, from hostess to bar to table and I really liked the feel of the place. We will certainly be back, especially to take advantage of happy hour drinks at that big fancy bar! Lovely date night spot in South Miami, looking forward to the next visit.

We got to an Elite event early and decided to sample off of the menu some items that weren't being served at the event. The upside: lobster bisque, Thai steak salad and spinach artichoke dip (we added crab meat at the servers suggestion). The down side: um, nothing really. I love the feel and flow of the place; classy watering hole/steakhouse. And neither distinction overpowers the other. Besides the servers helpfulness, the manager, Francesco? (I'm bad with names), greeted us before and after the meal asking about our experience and looking for suggestions. Reading some other reviews it seems that that type of service is standard here. So between the menu and the service, Shula's 347 is looking to be a somewhat regular stomping ground.

Shula's you scored a touchdown with the Yelp Elite Event! After tasting all of your wonderful appetizers and experiencing your exceptional service I have witnessed how a real restaurant in Miami should operate. My favorite appetizers were all the ones I tried... But to name a few: crab cakes were light on the breading heavy on the crab just the way it should be, beef tenderloins melted in my mouth, the jumbo bacon wrapped shrimp were the biggest I had ever seen, the truffle fries were an addiction all on their own, and last but not least the fried mozzarella appetizer was so good I couldn't get enough of it. The $5 valet right outside was such an added convenience. With such a friendly and fast staff I would not hesitate to recommend your venue for private parties.

I visited for a Miami Spice lunch & I must say, I can't stand Miami Spice resturants that use the first course for a CEASAR SALAD! Show off your cuisine people! Don't participate if you've got nothing special going on! The steak I had was better than my 1st visit, cooked well, juicy. The dessert was fine (cheesecake). Everything was just status quo. Their service is good as the waiters are nice & attentive, but for the Shula's experience, I'll stick to the Steakhouse for the real deal, or Shula's 2 on Main Street for a sporty environment. 347 is stuck in the middle of these two extremes & just not worth it.

Is 3.5 an option? I didn't even know this place existed until fellow Yelper and cuz Janelle F. told me about it. We recently went for dinner and I came away pretty satisfied. I was in the mood for a martini and it hit the spot. Spicy -- Crab Mac & Cheese -- YUMMY! A good change to the usual lobster mac & cheese or truffle mac. It had large pieces of crab in it, and it was delicious. We sat near the bar and a basketball game was on -- so I was able to keep an eye on the score -- an added plus :) Medium -- Spinach Artichoke Dip -- it was pretty good, not great. I prefer the one at Houston's. Mild -- House of Blue Burger -- I only say mild because I thought it was just okay, nothing special really. I would have liked a little more flavor. But then again after two martinis. I will say this: I had every single french fry. The service was good and so is the location so if you are ever in the South Miami area you check it out.

Shula's 347 is awesome. We've been twice already. The first time I had the Mojito Martini and my wife had the Pomegranate Martini. I'm a huge fan of mojitos and vodka, so I found it to be really good. The pomegranate martini tasted really good, too. We each had the French Onion Burger. Let me tell you... it is one of the best gourmet burgers I've had in Miami. It's up there with the ones from Whisk, Morton's, Relish and Five Napkin. I love a big juicy "fancy" burger, especially with gruyere. This one also had caramelized onions (of course!), garlic mayo, and some garlic croutons. Brownie sundae was really good and perfectly portioned for two people. -- A few weeks ago we were in the area and stopped-in for Happy Hour. I had the Espresso Martini and my wife had the Champagne Martini (which she really enjoyed). I really liked the espresso martini because it tasted like a spiked iced cafe con leche (I love drinking my cafe con leche cold). Right up my alley. The spicy meatballs are really good, too.

Went in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon with the hubby. We started off by sharing the side portion of the crab mac and cheese. My hubby ordered the Tenderloin sandwich and I had the Thai Steak Salad. Our food was excellent and our steaks were made exactly how we ordered them. We also shared a bottle of Terrazzo Malbec which was excellent. The service was exceptional. Our waitress was new and obviously learning the ropes, however, she was very sweet and did a very good job. I will definitely be coming back to Shula's for another great meal. YUM :)

I go here every Saturday night for dinner. It is a perfect mix of lounge, upscale and steakhouse. The atmosphere is smart-casual with folks of all ages. Located in what used to be Jake's the management has made some nice improvements including getting rid of those big poles at the bar. I typically eat at the bar and the folks always remember your name and after two times will remember what you want and any special requests you may have. They play a variety of music there with some downtempo, some house, some hard bop and occasionally hip-hop if there is a special event. Really nice addition to the mix in the South Gables/South Miami neighborhood. Only downside is drinks are a little pricy...

Ahi tuna, shrimp pasta, truffle fries & cocktails - great. I'd recommend any and all if these dishes. The food was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, Service - our waitress was very nice, but she forgot our appetizer & then charged us for the glass of wine we got with the yelp check-in offer. She was young & fixed both oversights, but it was enough to knock off a star - 2 if the food (and company) hadn't been so enjoyable.

This weekend we went out every night and saved the best for last! Took Mom there on Sunday and very pleased to say that we had another great experience! Can't get Mom to have anything other than the burger but go with what you like and she was not disappointed as a matter of fact we all indulged and had burgers will have to hit the gym hard this week but it was worth it!

on a random midweek whim we decided to check out shulas. much to my shock, it was packed!! we were able to mingle in some seats at the crowded bar while we waited for our table. our waiter was really nice and friendly offering some of his favorites. we ordered a bunch of appetizers and cocktails. I had conundrum wine (one of my favorites, but at 14 a glass quite steep). all the appetizers were delicious, seriously good. steak bites, mac n cheese, and jumbo shrimp were exceptional. while the spinach dip was my least favorite it was still decent. the chocolate brownie was good to the last bite!! this place has definite staying power and im glad to see it adding a nice mix to the south miami area.

This place was so bad that it is difficult to know where to begin. We had nine o'clock reservations and having been told those were the last reservations of the evening, we arrived 15 minutes early. With only three tables full, our waiter was extraordinarily impatient while taking our order (four people, three of which ordered the same meal) and began tapping the edge of his receipt book against the flat of his palm. When our order finally came, the waiter set the plates down and told us to check our steaks and shined a flashlight into each of our plates while waiting for us to make an immediate cut and accept the steaks. We ordered the $34 rib eyes and these steaks had a ridge of fat around the outside with none of the typical marbling for which rib eyes are prized. These steaks were not seared at all, however mine was acceptably medium rare. It simply lacked flavor. Instead of paying attention to his tables, our waiter was cleaning nearby and shoved 3 chairs into our booth, blocking us in. The steaks were mediocre at best, vegetables soggy and bland. The baked potatoes had the most hope at being decent, but the waiter asked us what we wanted on them. When we told him "butter", he brought everything BUT butter. When we asked again for butter, he brought a tiny cup with a smidge of butter in it for the entire table. The waiter never returned to check on us . When I found a sticker on my over-cooked, soggy green pepper, we waived the waiter down to inform him. He sent the manager over, who approached the table and covered his face with his hands, hung his head and said nothing. It was so bizarre that we actually wondered who this man was at our table trying to play peek-a-boo with my five month old!! He finally spoke, then put his hands over his face again! When he did speak, he basically told us that he didn't know how that happened. We all had a cocktail served to us with our appetizers and that was the last drink we were offered. The martini's were very good! However, I actually watched the bar being closed and searched for our waiter to order one more martini to have with dinner. He was not to be found. We thought that the final insult came when our plates were cleared and we were ready to order coffee and dessert. The waiter appeared again with a dish of cheese cake and declared that "Stanley" told him to bring it. Now, none of us knew who Stanley was, but we figured he was the peek-a-boo manager. The waiter left just as quickly as he arrived and never asked us if we'd like coffee or dessert! We waited a few days before writing this review so that we'd cool off. Well, folks, this is the cooled off version. It was a horrid meal only to be surpassed by the rude and obnoxious behaviour of waiter, Wayne and his manager, Stanley. Go elsewhere!

Was at Shula's Friday might for an impromptu get together with besties. Walked in about 8:45pm without a reservation, waited at the bar for a table for 10, we were seated by 9:30! The atmosphere was friendly and busy. We sat at the bar had some drinks and appetizers the truffle fries( to die for!!) while we waited for our table. Once we sat down the service was friendly and thorough...some of us had the lobster bisque which was the perfect consistency, not too thick or thin, laced which a bit of sherry...yummy! The food all came out in a timely manner which is a plus especially when it's a large party. The antipasto plate was fresh and well seasoned; the NY Strip was cooked to perfection; the hamburger plate was generous enough to be shared by two. The Sea bass was very fresh. We ordered a brownie with ice cream which was delicious and served piping hot so the ice cream just melted beautifully and it was a large enough portion to make the round of the table!

Merriam-Webster defines a steak house as: A restaurant that specializes in serving steaks. Bah, Shula's 347 can't be a steakhouse then because everything I ate was good. The fact that we had a party of 12 on a Friday and nobody complained, not event the 10-month old baby, was impressive for any restaurant. Then, at the end of dinner, every plate was licked clean- partially because if someone left churrasco or shrimp on their plate, I ate it before the trash did! The regular Chimichurri steak was not on the menu and subbed with a Black Angus Churrasco. 6 of us ordered it, devoured it and told the manager (J.K.) who had been thinking of placing it on the menu (NOTE to manager: DO IT! The gemelli pasta was delicious, even if you didnt put the shrimp on it. I split an herb roasted chicken with a friend as well, something I rarely would do at a steak house, and BAM! Even that was great. The ceasar salad was ok, I'd get one at Town instead, and the wine menu was pricier than most in the area, but still reasonable. Either way, glad to have Shula and his 347 wins in the neaighborhood. Also, if you look up the definition to PERFECTION, Don Shula's 1972 Dolphins comes up. Oh yeah!

Let me begin by saying, I miss Jake's, and Shula's is a sub-par replacement. We came here for my birthday dinner with my dad and his girlfriend. My boyfriend and I arrived before the reservation, as we usually do, to try out the bar at a place we've never been. So we sat at the bar, ordered a drink and some truffle fries to munch on while we waited. 15 minutes later, no fries, reservation time met, and the rest of our party arriving, we were taken to the table. My boyfriend closed the bar tab while we were being seated...or almost seated. The hostess took us into the little section at the back left area of the restaurant, which is literally an 8 by 6 area, or thereabouts. So when the hostess sits us at a table against the right side wall, and the server audibly bitches that that isn't his section, but that the left side is, that was strike two. The hostess, trying to be more respectful than the whiny server, quietly says, "they're already sitting, can't you just walk the foot and half to the right and pretend it's your section?" He refused, and so she had to move us. "Excuse me, I'm so sorry, but can you relocate to this table instead?" Whereupon, I looked at bitchboy server and said "sure." and then smiled at the visibly humble and embarrassed hostess. SHE was great, and accommodating, HE was an idiot. Anyway, the fries finally arrive and we start ordering dinner - whereupon the idiot server told the boyfriend AT A PLACE PRAISED FOR STEAK that they didn't Pittsburgh a steak. I'm sorry, what? Wtf? He left for a few minutes and came back - "Actually sir, I just spoke to the chef, and we can pittsburgh it." Well no shit. He says it was the worst steak of his life. I could go on forever about how awful it was...some positives though: the crab mac & cheese, pretty good...wine - didn't suck, and my salmon? It was salmon. The veggies with it has a nice texture and weren't overly steamed, so, yay... To sum up: never going back, super overrated. :(

I know this is a review about Shula's but I just need to get this off my chest. It never ceases to amaze me how some inept people are able to destroy something that took years to build in a matter of moments. Jake's is an excellent example. While the food was never close to great it was always good and it was there. A place to just go by for a regular dinner or a regular drink, what ever that might be, a steak, a salad, a meze plate, a martini, a beer, a decent wine by the glass, etc. A neighborhood kind of place with a cozy bar, that unfortunately had too many huge columns blocking the view. Then someone comes along and buys it and runs it into the ground in a matter of months. Is it incompetence or is it money laundering? Now a chain steps into the place of the neighborhood joint. Unfortunately Shula's stripped all the warmth out of what used to be Jake's. The layout remains the same but they have opened the interior to the street on the Red Road side of the building, that and the removal of the massive columns at the bar are a bit of an improvement. Unfortunately, they have done nothing to improve the sound quality in the space, in fact I believe it is worse than it ever was. The rear dining room is a respite because of the carpeting in the space. The menu is not steak house typical with only three steaks but it is more casual, substituting fish, chicken and sandwiches where there would previously have been meat. Looking to test the steak house credentials, I had the Wedge Salad and the NY Strip. The Wedge was strangely tasteless, limp dressing, even the sparse bacon didn't add much of a kick. The Steak, cooked as ordered, was decent sized but nothing special. The burger was OK, the Asian Chicken Salad was serviceable and my son liked the Flat Iron Steak that he ordered. We had a very nice bottle of Rioja Reserva that was reasonably priced. Overall the experience was not bad but it just wasn't as warm and homey as the restaurant it replaces. Another loss of a local neighborhood joint.

I am really starting to like Shula's a lot! I have been there only 3 times but it seems to get better every time! The happy hour is impressive as they offer half off on just about every drink. The Crab Mac N Cheese is my favorite and it goes well with just about any dish. I look forward to going back again and again.

I saw this restaurant in the Miami Spice Menu, since i've had bad experiences with Miami Spice and the service overall, I was a bit hesistant to go and celebrate my b-day; however, I have to give Shula's a thumbs up. I had a great time, the place was clean and good ambience. The food choice in the Miami Spice menu was excellent, my steak was delish and my wedge salad wow, what a tasty treat to start the night. My waitress was friendly and witty to help us. I will definitely go back for happy hour or just to sit around their nice bar, very good place for a nice date with your better half or out with friends... :0)

Got the Groupon for $30 worth of food for only $15, so we had to check it out. First off, the Martini selection is wonderful and the pomegranate one was perfect. They are around $12 a piece, but 1 should do you in. The spinach and artichoke app. was outstanding! We both were in the mood for burgers, so we got their cheese burgers w/ side salad and it was delicious! Our waiter was a bit abrasiveness, but other than that, great place. I think it would be better to go for lunch rather than dinner because it gets very loud at the bar at night.

My friends and I did a "girl's night out" and decided Shula's would be a no brainer as far as A+ service and quality...MISTAKE..THough the wait staff was cordial, our appetizer plates and empty glasses sat on our table for 20 minutes after we finished. I had to ask them to be removed. My soup came at the same time as my salad, (kill buzz), and I repeatedly asked for bread which, if you can believe this, came AFTER we finished dinner! I gave Shula's 3 stars only because of the quality of their food, (once we finally got it). something may have been terribly wrong the night we were there. My guess is that they were understaffed. Get your act together Shula's! I hear South Miami rents are very $$$$...

My husband and I first went to Shula's 347 for lunch during Miami Spice. That's when I began my love affair with their Blackened Tenderloin Tips. I eat beef well-done, and believe me when I say that it takes a truly talented hand at the grill for a lean cut of meat (cut into bite-sized pieces, no less) to come out of the kitchen perfectly cooked, and still tender and juicy. Dessert was included, so he ordered the Key Lime Pie and I ordered the cheesecake. I'm very particular about both desserts, and these were outstanding. We went back last night for dinner, and my husband started with the calamari fries and then the prime rib special. He said the calamari was tender and delicious, and that the prime rib (which was HUGE) was the best he's had in years. I started with the tenderloin tips appetizer (swoon!) and then had the mushroom ravioli. To. Die. For. Oh! And don't miss the Lycheetini! Delish! The bartender "overpoured", so they brought me the drink and the little cocktail shaker. I essentially got nearly 2 full drinks for the price of one! We enjoy the atmosphere (though it does get a bit loud when they're busy), the service was excellent, and the food is outstanding. They really did a terrific job with the place and we will definitely be back.

It's hard to predict the success of any restaurant at this location, as prime as it is. A couple good ones have come and gone. But this one has a good chance of making it. It is comparable to a smaller, stripped down Houston's. You will find a smartly designed restaurant with tables in the open floor bordered by a long bar, all facing generous windows facing the street. Good idea to feature the seating and the bar from the street. Sound familiar? It's the same general design formula that Houston's in Coral Gables has used to great success. The similarities don't end there. If Shula's 347 design is a smaller, abbreviated version of Houston's, so is its menu. I went there for lunch and I was surprised by the lack of choices on the menu. Under "Sandwiches" there were only six, and three were burgers. I settled on the Turkey Club, which was slightly above average. Still, they could use more variety in their menu selections. Maybe I'll go back for dinner some evening and try something else. I'll give it a recommendation based on decent food, nice design, good service and a great location in the downtown South Miami area.

Stopped in for Happy Hour. The bartender Michelle was fun and knowledgable of the menu. Half-off drinks 4-7 pm. Ordered a few apps, spicy shrimp, tenderloin tips and fried ravioli. All three were delicious. Nice ambiance. 347 has carved it's niche between Shula's Steak and Shula Steak II. Just right for me. Nice South Miami location. What impressed me the most is that management is visibly engaged in all action. Five stars not given because I didn't have full fledged dinner.

I had this review stored on my phone, but realized it never got published; So here goes... Being a fan of the former Jake's at this location, and seeing that we're right around the corner, coming from Massage Envy : ) we decided to check out the recent opening of 347 on the later side. 347 had the same crowd that existed in the former establishment, and with quite the wait for a table to dine, we happened upon 2 seats at the bar and sat down. First and foremost I must mention the thing that struck me right off the bat; The TVs. I think they are 3 sizes too big and, I've always wondered how it would be flying too close to the sun (sans heat) and I have experienced it ...DAMN ARE THEY BRIGHT!! I felt like I was sitting front row at he movie theater. OK; enough on that rant. Ordered a few pinot noirs and grigios, sat back, and people watched. Being a busy night, it was quite crowded, with a good mix of people. A good 'din' , and an inviting clientele that invites you to strike up a casual conversation with the bar patrons. I must mention I also like the big windows that allow you to see outside. We ordered the wedge salad and burger, and bother were perfectly prepared; The salad wasn't too cold (frozen) or warm (wilted) and the blue cheese dressing was fantastic. The burger was just the right portion, and had the right mix of toppings. I wondered quietly aloud if there was BBQ sauce available, and within 20 seconds it was there. The bar staff was pleasant, and with how busy it was, very attentive. The restaurant also has continued what I thought Jake's had; not too dressy, and not beach-casual. Just the right atmosphere to wander in and enjoy a good dining experience. Next time we'll do a table, having already experienced the overwhelming ''spotlight'' TVs at the bar (set them on NIGHT CINEMA mode please !!!). We'll be back to 347 soon for sure !

I was hesitant coming into this location because of how sad I was that Jake's was no longer. I do miss Jake's whitewood bar and the cozy feel to it. Anyhow, Shula's did a nice job remodeling and making it more modern feel, although I do miss the old bar and feel that was Jake's. Considering it's relatively new, the place was pretty busy. First off, the service was pretty S-L-O-W - granted, they are new so I'll give them a break here as they're getting adjusted. As it relates to the food, I ordered a fish sandwich that was pretty much a plain 3 stars. Fish was dry and they didn't have any tartar sauce or anything to spice it up. It just wasn't great. Maybe next time I'll go for the steak or the burger, which supposedly are pretty good there. We shall see! Update coming soon.

If your in the mood for some "evil" croquettes and peach mojitos Shula's 347 grill on sunset is where it's at! Beyond their fabulous steak and burgers is a selection of crab mac & cheese and sweet potato fries that are to die for!!!! Definitely a place to consider if your in the area-and even ur your not!! Yelp helps you unlock a free dessert with purchase of an entry which is amazing so take advantage and stop by! The service is excellent so you'll have a great time!!!

I was skeptical about this place because I'm a jaded Miami Dolphins fan but the food is really good and the service was great. Ahi burger is the best thing going on the menu.

3.5 stars for 2nd chances. First off, the customer service still excellent. in fact, 2nd chance given at request and small treat from manager after he read my review. it's so important for companies to listen to their customers. Wayne was our server on this occasion and he was pleasant and attentive. FOOD: hubby had the 16oz cowboy steak. 2 servers waited for him the cut it before leaving the table and hubby said it was a little over cooked. he ordered it medium, but of course didn't say anything to the staff b/c once that man has a piece of meat in front of him, just try to get it away from him. he ate it all and said it was tasty, so clearly no problems here but no fireworks either. I had the Grilled pork chop. I loved the marinade. the mashed potatoes are delicious and you get a nice portion. I ate all my veggies and they were tasty. for appetizer: we had the crispy ravioli upon server's recommendation and this was disappointing. it's 7 little triangles of what tastes like frozen mozzarella sticks. we ate all but 1 b/c of course I have to clean my plate, but not worth the $10 or the calories. no dessert for us on this visit but have good options. the food is just not amazing for my steak-loving husband and it's a bit pricey, but we frequent the area and will continue to visit.

I am an idiot for not knowing this place existed. this place has an awesome happy hour with a good beer selection and a full bar. The appitizers are great, they have jumbo shrimp wrapped in bacon with BBQ sauce which is amazing. All the staff here provides a great service and is very friendly. The menu here is a bit pricey for me but its expected for how good it is. I will come back for sure for a happy hour here.

Second time at Shulas 347 and the food was great (as expected). Shula's really does have one of the best steaks in Miami. My only complaint with this trip was that when we made the reservation, we told the hostess that it was my mother in-law's birthday and reminded the manager as well before we sat and they completely forgot about it... Great food, good waiters, they just didn't communicate it to them.

I've only been to happy hour and had finger food (and a burger). I can safely say that it's a fairly quiet, yet nice place to meet up with friends. The service is good, but not exceptional. The prices are high as this is a high-end restaurant, so I would have expected better service. The finger food and burgers were great.

Four of us went for business dinner tonight, we all ended up getting the cowboy steak. Leave it to four guys to get the same thing. Anyway, the apps were great and the steak was tasty. Good service. Good wine selection. So why only 3 stars...don't know, I just wasn't knocked out. It's probably more like 3.5. Ambiance is OK but very loud. At least Jakes had tablecloths that soaked up some of the sound, just hate to have to shout at the table to be heard. I'll go back.

Tenderloin tips! Truffle fries! I came here for my first Yelp event and all of the little appetizers they served were pretty tasty. On a regular night, the service was pretty good, the bartenders were friendly and prompt. Although it's a little on the pricier end, the quality of the food I've had there is A+. I definitely look forward to coming back!

My NY strip was great. My wife loved her filet. As for the rest, well everything was just okay. The blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad seemed to be intended for folks that don't really like blue cheese (it was hardly present). Regardless, I'd return for burgers hoping they're as good as the steaks.

First time at Shula's 347 on a Wed. night. The service was great and the seats are comfortable with a great view of the tv's at the bar.The salad mozarella & tomatoes with balsamic was great! The filet mignon was cooked perfectly. The cheese cake was incredible with the strawberry sauce. The drink of the night HEAT was super. They had a guitarist that was very entertaining. Great night from beginning to end. It's been a while since a restaurant gets it right from start to end. Will be back!

I used to work near Sunset Place, and never tried Shula's. That was a mistake. The other night I was fortunate enough to sample a few of their menu items; crab cakes, shrimp wrapped in bacon, toasted ravioli and some tenderloin bites. The ravioli were eh, just like any deep fried ravioli. The shrimp were huge, the bacon was crispy. My only complaint is that they were drenched in BBQ sauce. The tenderloin was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Now for the highlight.....the crab cakes. These were hands down some of the best crab cakes I've ever had. I prefer my crab cakes more on the crabby, less on the cakey side. These delivered. They obviously use real crab, and barely any other filler. Deeelicious.

Amazing place near Sunset Place!. We actually went on a Monday for an early dinner and were greeted the second we walked in. The place is beautiful and has a great bar. The staff is excellent. Annette was the best, she knew all the specials and suggested great appetizers. We had the Truffle fries, Artisan Panini and the chicken and chorizo croquettes (my personal favorite!). A must if you go. For dinner i had the traditional filet mignon with a delicious baked potatoe and veggies and my hubby had the prime rib with the smashed potatoes and veggies. The general manager JK, makes your evening complete. His attentiveness to each and every customer makes it personal and you feel like you are the only in the restaurant. We were so impressed with the food and ambiance, that we scheduled a party in one of there private rooms. From the moment we arrived Cary the waiter and JK were spectacular and truly made the night unbelievable. From the room, to watching both the Heat and the Marlins on two 55 inch tvs, to the attentiveness of our group of 20 really makes it a must place to go. Our group had many appetizers and meals. Some of our groups favorites were the mushroom and lobster ravioli's and the house special which was blackened Grouper over wasabi mash potatoes. DELICIOUS!!!! If you are looking for a great place to have a great time from ambiance to dinner this is the place to be. You will be treated like the King and Queen.

Wish I could give a glowing review bc the food is good but unfortunately the service was horrible. Never in my life have I waited 45 minutes for a burger that was supposed to be cooked medium rare no less. After inquiring several times as to where our food was & receiving a vague "it'll be out in a minute" I asked to speak to the manager. He seemed less than concerned but went to check on our order. In the meantime the waiter came out & proceeded to give me what I assume was someone else's order bc it definitely wasn't mine. After waiting another 15 minutes my order came out It has now been 1 hour since I ordered. Long story short. The manager did not offer to discount the bill. Instead he brought out a complimentary dessert. Only problem is neither my husband or I liked that particular dessert. It might have been a better idea to have actually let us choose what might have appealed to us. At this point we just had it boxed up & left in no hurry to return In conclusion. Good food but the manager & the waiters that were there that night need to go back & get some serious customer service training Update: I have been back to Shulas's several times since my last review although service continued to be hit or miss & my order was messed up the couple of times after that visit, service has improved overall. I haven't been back in a while but do plan on going back soon. as I am an avid fan of their House of Blue burger. I have yet to have a better burger in Miami when its done right

Sit at the bar and enjoy Sarina's company. I have been following her for years. She's a fantastic bar tender and makes an awesome dirty martini. While at the bar, try the delicious Artisian Cured Meats and Cheese. It's a must!

Reasonably nice ambience, nice bar in a designed for over 50's type crowd. No comment on food. Had reservation on admittedly busy night and management was unable to honor reservation even 45 minutes after the set time. We became about the third group in the time we were there to walk out in frustration. This was inept and we won't be returning any time soon to "enjoy" parking hassles and a completely unnecessary wait for what looks to be a pedestrian menu.

After having been here in May with my family and having a horrible experience, we decided to give Shula's another try. What a different experience, it looks as though they have made enormous effort to correct previous faults. Staff was very friendly, our waiter Aaron was nice and knowledgeable, took his time explaining different things on the menu. Food was delicious, especially the calamari fries...best we have found down here. Steaks were great, loved the different sauce options. Keep up the good work Shula's and we'll be back.

I went with some girlfriends for our post holiday dinner. We made a reservation for 7:30 on a Friday evening. Once we arrived, it was pretty busy. We were greeted by two individuals at the host stand and they made us feel very welcome the moment we walked in, and we were sat right away. Our server, Eli, came right over to use and take our drink orders (I recommend the Cakebread Cab). He recommended the Calamari Fries and BBQ Shrimp apps, to which we ordered both and they were both delicious. My three girlfriends ordered the Filet and I ordered the Flat Steak with Chimmichurri. We also had the lobster Mac ' n cheese. JK, the General Manager, came over to us and introduced himself to us and told us a bit about Shula's 347. Everything truly was fantastic right down to the meal, service, ambiance and staff. My girlfriends and I have decided to make Shula's 347 our regular spot when we have our dinners!
